CREATING HUMAN-CENTRED CORPORATE REPORTS
A BRIEF INTRODUCTION
The User-Centred Reporting Kit constitutes the solution concept to my written BA Thesis called Creating Human-Centred Corporate Reports – A User Centricity Toolkit for Design Agencies.
While publishing corporate reports is an obligation for numerous organisations, only very little of the reports content is actually read. The time and money invested into the creation of the statutory publication hardly ever pans out. The issuing organisations tend to apply the concept of mass marketing, meaning, they are trying to reach everyone with everything. The low level of user centricity backfires and decreases the relevance the primary users associate with the statutory publication.
While the resources and expertise for correcting this problem are too scarce on the side of the issuing organisation, the design agency can be the urgently required change maker. The User-Centred Reporting Kit helps the design agency initiate a more human-centred reporting style because the knowledge provided in the Kit allows that the agency takes on a more strategic and advisory role.
